Fulton Pub

Location: Fulton Pub on Macadam. I was trying to avoid a traffic snarl on the Ross Island Bridge after work. As I made my way towards the Sellwood Bridge, I realized I would pass the Futon Pub. I was starving, so a spontaneous McMenamins stop seemed like a good idea. But when I got inside, I realized I had left my passport at home. So if I want to accommodate spontaneous McMenamins visits, I've got to figure out how what to do with my passport.

Fellow travelers: This is my first solo location.

Favorite light: Didn't spend any time looking at the lights. I huddled in a booth waiting for my to-go order.
Redemption Jan30: the skylight is definitely my favorite light here.

Favorite art: Didn't spend any time looking at art, either. Next time.

Redemption Jan30: loved the hammerheads dancing and the chalk art.

Food: A hot dog because I was so hungry I had to buy something. Not bad! Plus, it turns out McMenamins makes a mighty fine mustard.

Passport stamps: None. Which is especially disappointing since my last location was Highland, where I also forgot my passport.

Redemption Jan30: I finally got the stamp!

Other items of note:
  • This is a location I didn't know existed before the Project, so I still think it's a partial success. Fulton Pub is remarkably small and quiet, a good place to study or meet someone. I could see this becoming a regular place for me.
  • Another location I wish had milkshakes, especially since it's right across from Willamette Park. My fantasy involves biking to work, and then biking home via the Greenway Path with a stop at Fulton Pub on a lovely summer day.
  • Nice patio in 2.5 separate areas.
  • Their bike parking bumps up against one of the outdoor tables, though. If someone (like me) parks a bike there, nobody can eat at that table. :(
